Cherokee Inc. annual meeting set for Oct. 14

VAN NUYS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1996--Cherokee Inc. (NASDAQ:CHKE) Monday announced that its annual meeting of shareholders will be held at the Palisades Salon in the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, 1700 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica, Calif., on Monday, Oct. 14, 1996, at 10 a.m. PST.

The record date for the meeting has been set for Sept. 13, 1996.

At the annual meeting, shareholders will be asked to approve the re-election of the seven current directors for a one-year term.
