Data Connection announces first Internet/LDAP Directory Server for Windows NT 4.0

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 22, 1996--Data Connection Limited (DCL) today announced Windows NT v4.0 support for its Internet Directory Server (DC X500).

This is the first truly distributed directory server for Windows NT 4.0 and supports native http, LDAP and X.500 protocols. DC X500 also supports directory synchronisation and integration with common groupware directories.

The directory can be accessed from web browsers (using LDAP or http protocols) and from DCL's own Windows directory browser application. It can be administered by Windows administration tools and monitored by SNMP-enabled management workstations.

The product is already available to beta customers and is publicly available in September. Pricing is available on request.
