QMS Extends Print System Support for Windows NT-Based Systems; DEC Alpha, MIPS and Power PC Platforms Included in Support

MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1996--QMS, Inc. (NYSE:AQM) today announced extended support for QMS print systems in the Windows NT network operating system through a new QMS Print Monitor for Windows NT.
In addition to the Intel platform, the QMS Print Monitor for Microsoft Windows NT enables users working with any NT compatible computing platform, including DEC Alpha, MIPS and Power PC systems, to integrate QMS' complete range of network and image printing features into their environment.

The QMS Print Monitor for Windows NT is a workstation or server-level utility designed to enable users of QMS Crown printers to seamlessly and efficiently transport print jobs and printer status information across TCP/IP networks. Using QMS Print Monitor for Windows NT, users are able to send print jobs across the network directly to QMS Crown print systems, and are able to access status information about print jobs and print queues via the Windows NT Print Monitor.

The QMS Windows Print Monitor utility is available immediately for the complete line of QMS Crown printers, and is shipping with the standard software drivers included in all new printers.
