Amdahl Appoints Sal Alini as Vice President of Enterprise Server Division to Focus on Enterprise Server Line

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1996--Amdahl Corp. today announced the appointment of Sal Alini as vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Server Division reporting to David Anderson, Chief Technical Officer, and vice president and general manager of the Server Business Systems group. The Enterprise Server Division will focus on product development, manufacturing and marketing the EnVista server line. Mr. Alini is also responsible for third party relationships and corporate alliances with companies such as Intel Corporation and Microsoft Corporation.

A 25-year veteran of the technology sector, Mr. Alini most recently held the post of vice president of the Online Transaction Processing Division of Tandem Computers Incorporated. He has held senior management positions with leading corporations such as Nynex, Concurrent, Perkin-Elmer and AT&T.
