EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1996--Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE:CSC), one of the world's foremost information technology (I/T) companies, will serve as the official sponsor of the Farnborough Air Show Press Center Sept. 2-8 in the United Kingdom.

The Farnborough Air Show is one of Europe's premier aerospace and defense industry events. CSC maintains both its European and U.K. headquarters in the town of Farnborough and, according to Tom Williams, president of the U.K. Division, ``is ideally suited to host the thousands of aviation writers and journalists from around the world during Farnborough week.

``Through a focused set of services, CSC provides essential I/T support to many of the most visible symbols of modern aviation, including the B-2, F-22, C-17, Tornado and the NASA Space Shuttle,'' said Williams.

``In addition, we also manage the I/T infrastructure under outsourcing contracts with British Aerospace, General Dynamics and Hughes Aircraft. As a result, aerospace companies that choose to partner with CSC gain the expertise of a technology and business specialist with a proven aerospace track record.''

On its exhibition stand in Hall 3, CSC will feature a portfolio of its business services geared to increasing the competitiveness and effectiveness of the 21st century chief executive officer. Specific topics to be discussed will be presented around four major themes: organizational agility, vision and strategy, breakthrough reengineering and world-class technology.

``It is these central themes,'' Williams said, ``which will dictate how the CEO of the next century moves from a `what you do and where you do it' mentality, to a `who you are and how you do it' position in the marketplace.''

CSC and Flight International, the leading European aerospace publication, surveyed more than 100 of Europe's top aerospace executives in July to determine their key issues and concerns.

The results of this survey will be published in the Sept. 2 issue of Flight International and discussed by representatives of the magazine and CSC during a news conference in the Farnborough Press Center Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 10:45 a.m.

CSC had $5 billion in revenues for the 12 months ended June 30, 1996, including 12 months of revenues from the recently acquired Continuum Company, which have been combined with CSC's revenues because the acquisition is accounted for as a pooling of interests.

CSC has headquarters in El Segundo, and has nearly 40,000 employees in more than 600 offices worldwide providing clients with a wide range of professional services, including management consulting, business reengineering, information systems consulting and integration and outsourcing.
