Frisco Bay Subsidiary, CDP Protection Inc., Establishes Strategic Alliance With IBM Canada

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 1996--Frisco Bay Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ:FBAYF), an international provider of automated transaction, time management and security systems for financial institutions, government agencies and industry, today announced that its subsidiary company, CDP Protection Inc., has recently signed a strategic alliance with IBM Canada.
CDP Protection Inc., a Montreal based company, provides off-site data storage and disaster recovery services to customers who maintain computer records vital to daily business operations. Services range from data storage and daily pickup and delivery of records, to disaster planning designed to quickly retrieve and restore computer data that may otherwise be lost or inaccessible under disaster circumstances. CPD's services assure that a business can resume operations with minimum interruption.
"This alliance will enhance the marketability and provide greater visibility for CDP, as IBM can now offer off-site data storage services to its clients.
