Struthers Board Announces Resignation of G. David Gordon; Adds Two New Members To The Board

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 26, 1996--The Board of Directors of Struthers Industries, Inc. (OTC BB:STIG) announced today the resignation of G. David Gordon, a director and officer of Struthers.
At the same time, the Board said that it has added two new members to the Board: Dale Smith and Robert Wainwright.
From 1980 to 1984, Mr. Smith served as Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Commissioner of Commerce for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's economic development under Governor John Y. Brown. During his tenure, Kentucky went from 48th to 5th in economic growth. Prior to 1980, Mr. Smith spent eleven years with Sonoco Products Co. Mr. Smith will also serve as vice president in charge of IVDS Business Development, a key strategic focus for Struthers through its acquisition of WINCOM Corp. of Los Angeles.
Robert Wainwright has over 39 years of experience regarding technical securitization of digital data and applications software for centralized mainframes and networks. He has served as Senior Consultant for the Pentagon, The Federal Reserve and Bank of America as well as many Fortune 500 organizations.
Struthers, through its acquisition of Wincom Corp., is a telecommunications company which plans to provide advanced utility automation and data services primarily utilizing IVDS wireless communications technology.
