Continental Airlines Names Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 26, 1996--Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAI.B and CAI.A) announced today that Michael H. Campbell will join the company as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations. Campbell joins Continental on Jan. 1 and is a partner with Ford & Harrison, a national law firm specializing in labor and employment issues.

As a founding partner at Ford & Harrison, Campbell oversees the airline practice group and is one of five executives responsible for managing the law firm. For over 20 years, he has represented the airline industry in various aspects of labor and employment matters, including contract negotiations, arbitrations and union organizing campaigns. He has negotiated approximately 200 collective bargaining agreements for companies in the airline industry, most as chief spokesman at the bargaining table. He negotiated Continental's collective bargaining agreement with its pilots' union in 1995 and flight attendants' union in 1996.

Campbell, a Richmond native, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his law degree from the University of Virginia. The Phi Beta Kappa graduate is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association.

Campbell is married with five children.
