Comshare wins $188,000 group management and statutory reporting software contract with Powell Duffryn
Business Wire, Dec 4, 1996
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1996--Comshare announced the sale of the latest version of Commander(TM) FDC to industrial group, Powell Duffryn, for the production of a new group management and statutory reporting application. Commander FDC, the UK's leading consolidation and financial reporting application, will be used at group HQ and various reporting sites throughout the world to provide better reporting and analysis. The software contract is valued at 125K pounds ($188,000 US).
Commander FDC was chosen after 12 months' exhaustive competitive evaluations to replace Powell Duffryn's traditional spreadsheet reporting. FDC was selected for its fully distributed architecture which will ensure full functionality to remote divisions and sites, and for its interface with Comshare's Executive Information System, Commander Decision.
Comshare will also provide full support and consultancy for Powell Duffryn's implementation. The first phase of development started last week with training for the Group at Comshare's Northern Europe head office in London. Implementation will follow before the end of the year. The application will go live with the first set of management reports in early '97 and with the statutory reporting later in the year.
