Business Wire, Dec 4, 1996
ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1996--Consumers heading out for their holiday shopping will discover that an ideal gift for the home-computer user on their list just became even more affordable.
Eastman Kodak Company today announced that the Kodak DC20 Digital Camera--which is compact enough to fit in a shirt pocket and as easy to use as any point-and-shoot camera--is now available at an estimated street price of $199.
"We believe that the DC20 is now the lowest-priced point-and- shoot digital camera on the market," said Robert Unterberger, president, Digital and Applied Imaging and vice president, Kodak. "It ships with a range of software that lets people have fun with the DC20 camera right out of the box, making it a great value at almost any price."

Introduced earlier this year, the DC20 camera is designed for personal picture taking and for sharing images on-line. The camera lets people take digital pictures by simply clicking a shutter button, and download them immediately by clicking a mouse. People can share their DC20 pictures on- line with other computer-users, use them to personalize documents like cards or party invitations and output prints at the desktop.
The Kodak DC20 Digital Camera is now available through a wide network, including traditional computer dealers, photo- specialty stores, catalogs, value-added resellers and retailer dealers.
In addition, consumers who buy a DC20 camera before March 31, 1997, can receive a coupon for a free copy of Netscape Navigator Gold Personal Edition 3.0 Software (excluding shipping charges).
