Business Wire, Feb 13, 1996
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 1996--InterNex Information Services, the leader in high speed digital Internet access, today announced that the company has been named official Internet Access Provider for DCI's Internet Expo, Web World & EMail World Exposition to be held Feb. 20 and 21, 1996, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
With more than 500 exhibitors, Internet Expo, Web World & EMail World is the largest event in the country dedicated to the Internet, the World Wide Web and EMail.
InterNex will provide a complete package of Internet access for two days of seminars, conferences and demonstrations of the latest in Internet-related technology. InterNex will also provide a daily news feed, domain name service and multicasting services during the show. A total of six T1 lines will be fed into the exposition hall, providing over 9.24 Mbps of bandwidth, or upwards of Ethernet speeds. By designing a custom "mobile POP," InterNex can now bring high speed Internet access to all DCI shows, anywhere in the U.S.
InterNex will also be an exhibitor at the show, providing demonstrations of their Internet access packages, Web hosting solutions and other services in Booth 546.
"We selected InterNex Information Services because they are the only Internet service provider specializing in high bandwidth connectivity. They have a multi-T3 backbone connection to the Internet, ideal for high-risk show environments," said Marny Peabody, vice president of DCI. "Exhibitors at Internet Expo, Web World & EMail World need to be assured that their Internet products and services will be shown off to their best advantage. And, InterNex's robust networking technology and experience will help ensure this."
"We're pleased to be part of DCI's Internet Expo," said Robert Berger, chief technology officer of InterNex. "We are committed to supporting other software and hardware vendors as they show their products and services through high speed digital connectivity."
