Coleman in Talks with Camping Gaz

GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 1996--The following release was issued today in Paris:
"The Coleman Company and Butagaz, a subsidiary of Shell, which controls 70 percent of Application des Gaz ("ADG" or "Camping Gaz") are in advanced negotiations with respect to the acquisition by Coleman of a majority equity interest in Camping Gaz.
"In anticipation of the meetings today of the worker's council and boards of directors of the French companies concerned, the suspension of trading in ADG shares has been requested from the stock exchange authorities."
The Coleman Company, Inc., hereby confirms that negotiations are taking place and a conclusion seems imminent. There can, however, be no assurance that any such transactions will occur, or of the terms thereof.
