Farmers & Mechanics Bank announces addition to government banking department

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 1996--The company is pleased to announce that Jan Godley, currently the treasurer of Enfield, Conn., is joining Farmers & Mechanics Bank, Middletown, in its Government Banking Department.
As a Government Banking Officer, her primary responsibility will be to develop products and services to meet the financial needs of Connecticut's towns and cities.
Godley will report to Theodore J. May, Jr., senior vice president who stated "Jan brings an in-depth understanding of the needs and concerns of the municipal finance community. She is uniquely qualified to identify the needs of municipal finance officials and will be instrumental in developing ways to help them meet their goals."
Godley has over 20 years experience in the municipal finance arena. During her professional career, Godley has been responsible for investment programs, preparation and analysis of the operating and capital budgets and development of financial and statistical data for various types of financing.
In addition to her professional duties, Godley has maintained the position of Treasurer, Connecticut Government Finance Officers Association. She is a member of many local organizations and the National Government Finance Officers Association.
