Customers Add Over 750 New ONE TOUCH Sites To Their Video Distance Learning Networks; ONE TOUCH Interactive Distance Learning Response System Becomes The Interactive Training Solution Standard for Major Corporations and Institutions

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 1996--ONE TOUCH Systems, Inc., a privately held Silicon Valley company and the leading provider of interactive distance learning response systems, today announced the following new customers have incorporated the ONE TOUCH system into their video distance learning networks: American Red Cross, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd., Housing Telecommunications, Inc. and Pacific Gas & Electric.

The American Red Cross selected the ONE TOUCH system for 65 sites around the U.S. to enhance the interactivity of BioLink, the American Red Cross Biomedical Services internal business television network. The Red Cross, the largest provider of blood in the U.S., uses the ONE TOUCH system for both regulated and unregulated courses associated with blood banking. This includes required training for certification of employees.

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. will utilize the ONE TOUCH system to link over 625 sites to their host studio in Burlington, Ontario and Detroit. This network is the Canadian arm of the worldwide FORDSTAR network that will connect dealers across Canada for ongoing sales, technical training, new product launches and warranty administration. Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. will be designing programs to be broadcast in both English and French.

Housing Telecommunications, Inc., which operates a non-profit network providing education for the public housing community, has installed 200 keypads in 20 sites and is scheduled to expand to 100 housing authority offices nationwide. Using the system, housing authority staff will receive training in management principles and techniques, finance, accounting, human resources, and security issues.

Residents of public housing will receive training in parenting skills, drug and alcohol abuse and teen pregnancy. Housing Telecommunications, Inc. also intends to broadcast news and information on national and state issues that affect housing authority offices and would be of interest to housing authority management.

Pacific Gas & Electric has implemented a major training program using the ONE TOUCH system. Broadcasting out of its own production facility in San Francisco, PG&E will conduct interactive training sessions to 50 ONE TOUCH sites in Northern California, with a total of 1000 keypads installed by February 1996. The first interactive broadcasts will focus on training all employees on the company's business systems replacement project. Existing training courses may also be converted to the new ONE TOUCH training format.

These new customers join ONE TOUCH's already strong client base, including: AT&T, Digital Equipment Corporation, Federal Aviation Administration, Ford Motor Company, John Hancock Financial Services, Microsoft Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Wescott Communications, Xerox Corporation, Bob Jones University and Wayne State University.
