RADCOM has broadest range of ATM interface cards on the market; currently the only analyzer which can test 25 Mbps UTP - ATM to the desktop
Business Wire, Feb 9, 1996
ComNet, RADCOM announced that its ATM analyzers now offer the most extensive range of ATM interfaces on the market.
The RC-200-C ATM analyzer and the ATMax ATM/WAN/LAN analyzer both support OC-3/STM-1 Multimode, Singlemode and UTP-5, DS-3, DS-1, E3, E1, TAXI and 25 Mbps UTP interfaces.
"25 Mbps UTP is significant in the ATM arena since it is the one most likely to implement ATM-to-the-desktop for connecting PCs or workstations to an ATM backbone," said Avi Zamir, president of RADCOM. "Currently the only way to test 25 Mbps UTP lines is by using our analyzers. We are the first on the market to support this interface, and the first on the market to support the entire range of ATM interfaces (as defined by the ATM Forum) and we are committed to support every new ATM interface."
RADCOM's analyzers support all interfaces within a single device. This enables users to buy one interface for their current development phase and easily add additional interfaces as their requirements expand.
All of RADCOM's interfaces have the following features:
o Plug in, field-replaceable interfaces don't require hardware changes.
o Full duplex monitoring or dual-channel signalling simulation with a single LIU. A single interface card has two receivers and two transmitters. This allows a user to perform full duplex monitoring with a single interface (most of the competition requires two interfaces to do this or to perform dual-channel signalling simulation).
o An extensive Line Status process detects errors on the physical layer as well as cells and error counting.
o Both Error Detection, using the line status, and Error Injection on the physical layer for simulating line errors.
The list price per interface is less than $5000. The interfaces are available for delivery now.
RADCOM Equipment, a member of the RAD Group, specializes in designing, manufacturing and marketing a line of high quality test equipment. RADCOM's ATM and ATM/WAN/LAN analyzers were recently selected as one of DataComm Magazine's "Hot Products 1996". In November 1995, RADCOM won CMA Telecom's Best of Show new product award for its ATM Signalling Simulation software RADCOM also was chosen as Best of Show finalist at Networld Interop LV '95. RADCOM is rapidly becoming recognized as one of the top analyzer manufacturers.
