Logistix and Americ Disc Announce Business Alliance

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 1996--Logistix and Americ Disc, Inc. announced the creation of a business alliance today.

This announcement follows Americ Disc's recent acquisition of Triptych CD, a Stockton, California based company focused on complete CD-ROM services including pre-mastering, mastering, and replication. Logistix has enjoyed a strong business relationship with Triptych including an equity investment. Americ Disc and Logistix announced that the relationship between Logistix and Triptych is now expanded to include all of Americ Disc.

Logistix, an international supply chain management company, is the world's largest independent turnkey software manufacturer. The company provides services to leading large and mid-size computer OEM's, software publishers, and high-tech medical industry OEM's. The $300 million company operates ten facilities in the United States and Europe.

Canada-based Americ Disc is a subsidiary of G.T.C. Transcontinental Group. Ltd., a North American communications industry leader, in partnership with Moulage Plastique de l'Ouest S.A. (MPO) of France. Along with those of MPO, Americ Disc's plants are part of a global network constituting the largest independent producer of compact discs in the world with replication facilities in France, Spain, Thailand, Canada, and the United States.
