Darts on the Internet? Log on to "Hart Darts" at Seattle's Speakeasy Internet Cafe
Business Wire, Jan 16, 1996
SEATTLE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 1996--The marriage of two of the hottest trends of the 90s-microbrewed beer and the internet - will take place tomorrow, Jan. 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST, with the launch of Hart Brewing Inc.'s (NASDAQ: HOPS) internet site, http://www.HartBrew.com.
Visitors to the "virtual pub" can play the internet's first-ever dart game, write graffiti in the "restrooms" and explore lots of other fun areas from the brewhouse to the pub's kitchen.
Hart, the craft brewer of Pyramid Ales and Thomas Kemper Lagers, will unveil its "virtual pub" at Seattle's Speakeasy "internet cafe." Attendees will have the opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and log on at individual computer terminals for a guided tour of the new web site (and maybe even enjoy some "non-virtual" craft brews, while they're at it).
Hart's web site features typical pub activities that are state of the art in the virtual world. In addition to darts and graffiti writing, HartBrew.com features a "literary" beer story contest, a friendly on-line chat forum with other "patrons," RealAudio messages from the brew masters, brewery merchandise, tips on storing and making beer, and suggestions for food/beer match-ups.
To attend the kick-off event, RSVP to Kristy White at 206/682-8322, Ext. 211. -0-
