TRW names Marynoele R. Benson Manager of Media Relations

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 2, 1996--TRW has named Marynoele R. Benson as manager of media relations supporting the TRW Systems Integration Group's East Coast divisions. Before joining TRW, Benson was an account supervisor at the public relations firm of Burson-Marsteller in its Washington, D.C. office. Benson replaces Diane Lancaster who has taken a position as manager of media relations for TRW Vehicle Safety Inc. in Mesa, Ariz.

As manager of media relations, Benson is responsible for TRW Systems Integration Group's media relations on the East Coast.

Benson has worked in defense and aerospace communications for more than 11 years. She served as a public affairs officer for the Naval Air Systems Command from 1984 to 1986, managing crisis communications for naval aircraft programs. She then joined the Grumman Corporation's Washington Office, where she was manager for community relations, assisting with media and corporate relations. Benson joined Burson-Marsteller in 1994 as a senior account executive working with major aerospace clients and participating in grass roots campaigns to promote national issues.

In 1988, Benson was commissioned into the Naval Reserve as a Public Affairs Officer. She served eight years in a variety of different units including the Headquarters for the Chief of Naval Information and for the Commander in Chief, Atlantic Command Public Affairs Office.

Benson holds a bachelor's degree in communications from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and a master's degree in public communications from the American University in Washington, D.C.
