Computer Learning Centers Inc. approved to operate in Texas

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1996--Computer Learning Centers Inc. (NASDAQ: CLCX) today announced that it has received approval for the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to open Learning Centers in Dallas and Houston.

This represents the second and third Centers opened in the last 12 months and brings the total number of Learning Centers to 10.

Reid Bechtle, president and CEO of CLC commented "CLC is excited to be able to provide our career oriented technology training to the Texas market. Clearly Texas is nationally a key market and we are anxious to serve both the Texas students and employers."

The Dallas Center will be run by Dallas native Gerald Brazell while the Houston Center will be the responsibility of Houston native Harry Mauz. Both centers, which are staffed and operational, will start their first classes February.

The company provides information and computer related education and training at eight Learning Centers in the United States. The company designs programs and courses to meet current information technology education needs, offering instruction in technologies such as client server, databases, networking and object-oriented programming.
