National Semiconductor Completes Sale Of Dynacraft, Inc. Subsidiary

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1996--National Semiconductor Corporation today announced that it has completed the previously announced sale of its DynaCraft, Inc. (DCI) lead frame stamping and plating subsidiary to Malaysia Pacific Industries for $70 million. The sale included the transfer of the subsidiary's 1,550 employees, and all buildings, land and capital equipment of DCI's sites in Santa Clara, California; Murrysville, Pennsylvania; and Penang, Malaysia. Currently DCI represents approximately three percent of National's total trade sales, and the company expects no material financial impact from this transaction.
