Acclaim Distribution, Inc. And Take 2 Interactive Software Strike Long-Term Distribution Agreement

GLEN COVE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 1996--Further expanding its catalog of affiliated label offerings, A.D.I. (Acclaim Distribution, Inc.) and TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE have entered into a long-term distribution agreement whereby A.D.I. will distribute a variety of TAKE 2 interactive entertainment software for next generation and personal computer systems. A.D.I. is the sales and distribution subsidiary of Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKLM).

"Combining TAKE 2's product creativity and technical abilities with A.D.I.'s distribution strength will benefit both companies and allow us to broaden our offerings to the rapidly expanding personal computer market."
The first title distributed under the agreement will be Ripper, a vividly intense, 3D thriller starring acclaimed actor, Christopher Walken. Future titles that fall under the agreement include Ironblood, a 3D-polygonal, texture-mapped M2 fighter and Maximum Roadkill, a futuristic racing event that can be played via serial cable or by up to eight players on a Netware network. Other titles by TAKE 2 include Star Crusader, winner of the Golden Triad award and Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller, starring Dennis Hopper.

TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE is a multimedia developer and publisher specializing in entertainment products for PC DOS, Macintosh, and next generation set-top platforms. TAKE 2 is headquartered in New York City, with development studios in Latrobe, and Youngwood, PA.
Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. is a leading worldwide publisher of software for Nintendo, Sega, Sony, personal computer and CD-ROM hardware systems; and comic books under the Valiant and Armada imprints. Acclaim also develops coin-operated arcade and ticket redemption games, and operates blue screen and motion capture studios, as well as A.D.I., a global sales and distribution company for products from a variety of entertainment software publishers, including Digital Pictures, Domark, Interplay, Marvel, Sound Source Interactive and Sunsoft.
