Boca Research Modem wins 1996 Best of Fax Award from American Facsimile Association

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 30, 1996--Boca Research Inc. (NASDAQ:BOCI) announced Tuesday its V.34 Boca Office Communicator has been awarded Best PC Fax Modem 1996 by the American Facsimile Association (AFA).

This is the second consecutive year a Boca fax modem has won recognition from the AFA.

The V.34 Boca Office Communicator is an internal 28,800 bps data/14,400 bps Group 3, Class 1 and 2 send/receive fax modem with a voicemail system and full duplex speakerphone capability. It offers users easy Plug and Play installation and Windows 95 compatibility.

The V.34 Boca Office Communicator features Midisoft's MediaWorks communications software, and is available with both alternating voice/data, as well as DSVD (Digital Simultaneous Voice and Data) technology. It also includes speaker and microphone jacks and over $200 worth of free trial Internet and on-line service offers including America Online, CompuServe, GEnie, Global Network Navigator (GNN), Netcruiser, Internet Passport and Internet Phone.
