Hexcel expects to mail proxy materials in January

PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 1996--Hexcel Corp. (NYSE/PSE: HXL) announced today that it currently anticipates mailing proxy materials in January for use in connection with a stockholders' meeting to be held to consider, among other things, certain matters relating to Hexcel's previously announced proposed combination with the global Composites Division of Ciba-Geigy Ltd.
Hexcel noted that the revised timetable remains subject to completion of the SEC review process. As previously announced, the record date for the annual meeting is Dec. 27, 1995. While a meeting date has not yet been set, Hexcel presently intends to hold the meeting in early 1996.
Hexcel Corp. is an international developer and manufacturer of honeycomb, advanced composites, and reinforcement fabrics used in the commercial aerospace, space and defense, recreation, and general industrial markets.
