HitCom Corp. names former advertising executive as new president

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1996--HitCom Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board:HITT), a St. Louis-based publishing, marketing and technology company, with a primary focus on the Internet, Wednesday announced Brian C. Creath, has been named president, according to Anthony W. Hitt, chairman and CEO of HitCom.
In January, Creath merged his advertising agency, Brian Creath & Partners Ltd., into HitCom. Since then, he has held the position of chief marketing officer at HitCom.
"This move indicated HitCom's strong marketing orientation," said Hitt. "Brian's overall strategic capabilities will give new strength to the entire organization as we move forward."
Creath is a 12-year veteran of the advertising business, having won numerous national and international creative and strategic awards. In 1989, he co-founded CreathJacobson Advertising, and in 1994, formed Brian Creath & Partners Ltd.
"My focus will be the growth and strategic needs of the entire organization, not just our IntelliPages(TM) brand," said Creath. "We are beginning to find and capitalize on numerous business opportunities that will strengthen HitCom and its resources base."
HitCom Corp. owns and produces IntelliPages(TM) (www.intellipages.com) one of the most complete, city-specific news and information resources on the Internet. IntelliPages(TM) offers city-interest categories, such as entertainment, attractions, events and shopping, as well as local Yellow Pages listings. IntelliPages(TM) is being introduced to more that 200 cities by 1999.
Creath's position became effective July 1, Hitt will retain the positions of CEO and chairman.
