KPMG U.S. Industry Leader, Investment Management Services Group, To Chair International Investment Management Services Network
Business Wire, July 2, 1996
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 1996--Kathy L. Anderson, national industry leader of KPMG's U.S.-based Investment Management Services Group, has been appointed the chair of KPMG's International Investment Services Network spanning 57 jurisdictions worldwide. The Network focuses on providing services to the investment management industry related to global expansion, risk management, acquisition services/capital strategies, business strategies, operations and technology consulting, auditing and fax consulting. The announcement came at the 6th annual Fund Forum International conference held in Cannes, France on June 19 and co-sponsored by KPMG.
"The international funds management industry needs a professional services firm with the industry savvy, experience, global reach and diversification to take it into the next century where privatization of pension schemes will prevail as the world's population is aging, living longer and spending more time in retirement; where investors' risk appetites are evolving; where the big industry players are becoming bigger and boutique firms are still carving out their niches. KPMG's International Investment Management Services Network is well positioned to deal with these types of industry trends." Anderson said.
Under Anderson's leadership, the Network's membership will deal with such timely issues as the expansion of the investment management firms into emerging markets, cross-border acquisitions, distribution channel profitability analysis, new product development, tapping into the ever-growing global pension markets and identification and control of operational and investment risk factors, technology solutions to make 24-hour customer service a reality, etc.
Membership on the Network's steering committee includes: KPMG partners Kathy Anderson chair (U.S.), Jose Marcelo Bessan (Brazil), Andy Clinton (UK), Ross Doherty (Australia), John Duff (U.S.), Gerard Gaultry (France), Chris Hall (Australia), Gerold Hornschu (Germany), Jane Jelenko (U.S.), David Ledster (UK), Tim Lewis (Hong Kong), John Li (Luxembourg), Colin Litton (Canada), Paul McGowan (Ireland), Eric Roux (Luxembourg), Ron Shaw (Bermuda), Oscar Suarez, Jr. (Latin America).
KPMG is among the world's leading professional services firms, with more than 76,000 personnel worldwide. The firm's professionals provide a wide range of value-added Auditing and Accounting, Tax, Management Consulting and Corporate Finance services to clients in all industry sectors.
