Optical Cable Corp. announces third quarter profits projected up 50%; large new government projects total $1.25 million

ROANOKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 1996--Optical Cable Corp. (NASDAQ: OCCF) announced today that it expects third quarter net income before taxes to be up approximately 50% over the same period 1995.
Third quarter results should be released around Sept. 15. Business levels continue to be on or above expectations with a strengthening order input.
"The company has been awarded three separate projects for the US government totalling $1.25 million. Our international business also continues at a very strong and accelerating pace," said Robert Kopstein.
