The "new" Dun & Bradstreet appoints Vice President - Business Practices

MURRAY HILL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 3, 1996--The "new" Dun & Bradstreet Corp., which will become an independent publicly traded company by October 1996, today appointed Lucy A. Collett to the position of Vice President - Business Practices.
The "new" Dun & Bradstreet will be one of the three independent companies to be formed when the current Dun & Bradstreet Corp. completes its restructuring.
As the head of D&B's Office of Business Practices, Collett will be responsible for ensuring that all D&B employees understand and comply with the corporation's values and policy on business conduct, and that customers and suppliers are aware of the corporation's ethical standards and values. The position, which will oversee the business practices of the new corporation and all of its subsidiaries, will report to Volney Taylor, chairman and CEO of the "new" Dun & Bradstreet.
"The Vice President of Business Practices will play an important role in the new D&B. And Lucy brings outstanding credentials and experience to it," says Taylor. "Her background in law, her knowledge of the corporation and her ability to work and communicate well with associates and management are all assets that will serve us well."
She will be assisted by six business practices coordinators from other new D&B companies around the world. These coordinators will help her communicate and monitor business practices and conduct in their respective organizations.
Collett is presently vice president and associate general counsel at Moody's Investors Service in New York, and will continue in that role. She joined Moody's in 1989 as a senior analyst and was named associate general counsel in 1991. In July 1992, Collett was promoted to assistant vice president and associate general counsel. She was recently named vice president and associate general counsel. Prior to joining Moody's, Collett was an attorney with the New York law firm of Brown and Wood.
Collett received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in economics and political science from Fairfield University in 1984, a Law Degree from the Tulane University School of Law in 1987 and an Advanced Professional Certificate in International Trade and Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business in 1992.
