Delphi 2.0 Receives Microsoft BackOffice Logo; Borland Products to Also Support Microsoft's New Windows NT 4.0 Operating System

ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 1996--Borland International Inc. today announced that its Delphi Client/Server Suite 2.0 rapid application development tool has received the Designed for Microsoft BackOffice logo from Microsoft. In addition, Borland announced plans to support Microsoft's new Windows NT 4.0 operating system with its entire family of application development tools and databases, including Delphi, Borland C 5.0, Paradox 7, ReportSmith, InterBase 4.0, and the company's new Intranet development tool, IntraBuilder. Today's announcements were made at the Borland Developers Conference, the company's annual customer conference being held here this week at the Anaheim Convention Center.
"Borland is recognized for providing high-performance software development tools," said Collin Hemingway, Director, Microsoft's Desktop and Business Systems Division. "We welcome Borland's product support for the BackOffice family and Windows NT Workstation 4.0."
Microsoft's "Designed for Microsoft BackOffice" logo program provides a way for customers to quickly identify applications that are designed to work with the BackOffice family. The products are tested and approved by Microsoft's own BackOffice Software Testing Labs. Borland's products are also currently applying for Microsoft's new "Designed for Windows NT and Windows 95" logo program, to be tested by VeriTest Inc., one of the world's leading independent microcomputer product test laboratories.
