HP currently ranks No. 3 in U.S. PC market share, according to IDC/Link Resources (April 1996). HP continues to deliver the latest technology to the consumer and business PC markets as one of the first PC manufacturers to market Intel's 200MHz Pentium processor in the HP Pavilion and HP Vectra PC product lines. The chip is slated for integration in the HP Vectra VL and XM series PCs and in a new model of the HP Pavilion family of home multimedia PCs, expected to be announced later this summer.

"With Intel's 200MHz Pentium processors, HP is giving its customers superior performance and value across both its top-rated PC lines," said Frank Spindler, product line manager, Desktop Products Group at Intel Corp.
