Brock International And Texas Instruments Announce Cooperative Marketing And Sales Program
Business Wire, June 20, 1996
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 1996--Brock International, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:BROC) and Texas Instruments announced today, at the Field & Sales Force Automation Conference in Chicago, a cooperative marketing and sales program that will result in cost and time savings for clients who are implementing enterprise wide automated mobile computing solutions for their sales forces.
The agreement brings together Brock's TakeControl(TM) software and Texas Instruments lines of Extensa(TM) and TravelMate(TM) notebook computers. The joint program delivers the world class sales automation capabilities of the Brock TakeControl application suite integrated with Texas Instruments' leading mobile computing technology.
Through innovative bundled notebook and software programs, clients will have more cost effective strategies for rapid sales automation deployment. Additionally, TI's renewal program will allow customers to maintain leading edge technology through trade-in and upgrade programs. Brock's eleven years experience in the sales, marketing and customer care markets provides expertise in implementing sales automation solutions which emphasize a customer's unique competitive advantages.
"Notebook computing is the fastest growing segment of the PC marketplace today. It is growing faster than the total PC market. As more people are choosing to work outside the office and businesses are discovering that not having to provide permanent office space for all its employees is more economical and leads to more productivity, it makes sense to partner with a company like Brock International. By integrating the hardware and software, the customer can implement the application quickly and on the most advanced equipment available," said Pallab Chatterjee, president of TI's Personal Productivity Products Group.
"Being able to deploy strategies that support rapid return on investment with leading TI mobile computing technologies is exactly the solution our customers have been waiting for," says Richard Brock, president and CEO, Brock International. "Now we can allow companies to provide sales automation solutions to their sales teams at monthly rates equivalent to many sales representative's monthly cellular phone bills," he explains.
The alliance announced today is part of the B.E.S.T. (Brock Enterprise Solutions and Technology) Partners Program(sm,). Brock's B.E.S.T. is designed to leverage the "best of class" technologies and services in the customer relationship management market with the expertise and software of Brock to provide an integrated solution for enterprise sales, marketing and customer care solutions.
