Royal Caribbean's New Splendour of the Seas to Sail Special Three-Night Bahamas Cruise

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 1996--Royal Caribbean Cruise Line announced today a one-time-only three-night Bahamas sailing of its new 1,800-passenger Splendour of the Seas.
The special sailing will depart from Miami on Sunday, Nov. 17, 1996, following the ship's transatlantic crossing when it concludes its summer season of European cruises.
After leaving Miami, the 69,000-ton Splendour of the Seas sails to Nassau, where guests spend a full day and evening enjoying the sights of the Bahamas' largest city. At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, Splendour of the Seas departs from Nassau and sails to CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas' Berry Island Chain.
Guests spend the full day in CocoCay, snorkeling, playing volleyball and relaxing on expansive white sand beaches before returning to Miami the morning of Nov. 20.
Cruise-only prices for Splendour of the Seas' special three-night Bahamas sailing begin at $399 with air add-ons available(a). After the special cruise, Splendour of the Seas sails a 10-night repositioning cruise to San Juan from Miami, stopping at Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, to begin its winter season of seven-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean from San Juan.
Royal Caribbean is one of the world's largest cruise lines and operates ten modern ships with total capacity of 16,800 passengers. By early 1998, Royal Caribbean will introduce four more ships with a total additional capacity of 7,900 passengers. The 1,950-passenger Grandeur of the Seas begin year-round Caribbean cruises from Miami on Dec. 14. Two more ships follow in 1997 and one more in 1998. The award-winning vessels of the fleet offer guests over 50 itineraries and over 130 destinations in the Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Europe and the Far East.
