German Air Navigation Service Selects NiceLogTM For Its New Langen Center

TEL AVIV--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1996--NICE Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: NICEY) today announced that the German Air Navigation Service (DFS) has selected the NiceLogTM Digital Voice Logging System, manufactured by NICE Systems Ltd., for the new Langen center. NiceLog was selected by the DFS, Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, after a thorough evaluation of several competing digital logging systems.

The system will be delivered in September with a total capacity of more than 440 channels. The selected system takes advantage of the newest NiceLogTM 96 channel configuration in a single chassis, a configuration that reduces the cost and increases reliability.

During the past year, NiceLogTM was selected by air traffic authorities in the US (FAA), Hong-Kong, Israel, Hungary, Norway, Holland, Iceland and Romania.

NiceLogTM is a fully digital voice logging system, distinguished by its open architecture and by its extensive use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software modules. As a result, the system provides a straight-forward path for future upgrades and enhancements, while significantly reducing the initial price and life cycle costs.
