Business Wire, June 27, 1996
CARLSTADT, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 1996--LBU Inc. (NASDAQ Bulletin Board: LBUAA) launches new state of the art packaged product line. This new line has already received over $1 million in orders from K-Mart for 1996. These products include top quality nylon sport bags, unique travel bags, college laundry bags, mesh bags and many others. These products will be sold in 2,200 K-Mart stores across the country with the new innovative "In-Line" displays. This new line will be an ongoing program and will become a dominant feature in the household goods ailes of drug chains, food chains and mass merchants throughout the United States.
LBU's innovative use of materials such as nylon, mesh and neoprene are rapidly replacing outdated and inferior substitutes traditionally used. Custom imprinted advertising on these products is now being used by retail customers such as SAFEWAY, KROGER, and VONS. The company's customer base also includes TOMMY HILFIGER, BED BATH & BEYOND and NIEMAN MARCUS on the retail end as well as hospitals, schools, hotels and government institutions on the industrial end. LBU's promotional products division makes up the largest sector with active clients such as REVLON, CLINIQUE, CALVIN KLEIN, TIME MAGAZINE, SPEEDO, and CHARLES SCHWAB among others. Their choices range from custom manufactured sport bags and bottle carriers to designer backpacks and fashionable totes. There are many large orders for the top pharmaceutical companies as well as sports sacs with the Coca Cola logo as official sponsor for the 1996 Olympics. All these new orders have led to dramatic increases in sales and profits for the company, details of which will be announced in the very near future.
