IBM and Network Computing Devices Announce Alliance Agreement

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 1996--Network Computing Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCDI) and International Business Machines Corporation ("IBM") announced today an agreement for the joint development of a network application terminal for resale by IBM.
Under the agreement, IBM will fund a portion of NCD's development efforts. Subject to successful completion of the development effort, including the satisfaction of certain design and manufacturing requirements, the agreement states that IBM will purchase a substantial portion of its requirements from NCD during 1997 and 1998, although IBM will be under no obligation to make such purchases until the development phase has been successfully completed and IBM has commenced volume shipments of such devices.
Network Computing Devices provides network computers and related software for the desktop market. The company is based in Mountain View, Calif., and is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange, symbol NCDI.
