Integrated Security Systems, Inc. Announces Receipt Of $1.9 Million Of Contract Orders

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1996--Integrated Security Systems, Inc. ("ISSI") (Nasdaq Smallcap market: IZZI (Common Shares); IZZIW (Warrants)) today announced that seven (7) major contracts for approximately $1.95 million have been recently awarded to two of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, B&B Electromatic, Inc. ("B&B") and Tri-Coastal Systems, Inc. ("TCSI").

B&B, a manufacturer of gates and barriers for road and bridge and perimeter security applications, received orders in excess of $1.6 million of the approximately $1.95 million order total. Of these orders, over $1 million was derived from major bridge renovation projects for the Virginia and New York State Departments of Transportation which required a mix of traffic gates, barrier gates and navigational lighting systems. B&B also received an order for 25 Correctional Facility ("CF") prison gate systems, the largest single CF order received by B&B since the CF-series was granted acceptance by the Federal Bureau of Prisons in October, 1994. In addition, B&B received a contract for vertical pivot gate and signal systems to protect a non- public railroad crossing within a major refining complex. TCSI, a provider of electronic security systems and products, received a contract in excess of $325,000 to provide, install and service a combination of electronic security products including closed circuit television, door control, intrusions and fire systems for a state facility in Texas. "TCSI has completed similar projects for other Texas state facilities and believes that this contract award is recognition of the value provided by TCSI, value reflected in pricing, quality of work, and responsiveness to customer needs during and after installation," said Henry McGuffee, Vice President and General Manager of TCSI.
