THISoftware Co. Inc. begins delivery of its Internet Web Site building and management software

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1996--THISoftware(TM) Co. Inc. Monday announced delivery of its Web Site building and management software.

The initial products, delivered to national distributors Navarre, Strata, and Ingram, are sold under the name of THISoft(TM) WebSite Maker and THISoft(TM) WebSite Director. National retailers including CompUSA, Fry's J&R and Micro Center are currently selling these products, with other chains to follow.

THISoft WebSite Maker and THISoft WebSite Director provide complete Web Site building capabilities through templates and require only basic word processing skills. Unlike today's conventional Web editors which typically allow the user to build only one page at a time, THISoft builds the entire Web Site.

"While most Web editors assist in putting in the HTML coding, one must still have HTML knowledge. With THISoft, all necessary codings and page links are automatically placed," explained John Manry, THISoftware's new President and CEO.

He added that THISoft replicates all redundant features such as headers and footers on each page, file names all pages, then puts each page and file automatically under a common sub-directory for easy use and immediate uploading to the Internet.

THISoft WebSite Maker, with an MSRP of $69.95, is oriented towards the novice or individual who desires a presence on the Internet.

WebSite Maker lets the user create a personal Web Site and includes a homepage, remote links page, local links page, pseudo image map page, staff and family picture page and up to 99 free form and 99 multi-column free form pages. Through its scrollable boxes and free form pages, WebSite Maker is ideal for those wanting to learn HTML.

THISoft WebSite Director, with an MSRP of $149.95, is geared towards the more advanced Webmaster, professional Web Site builder, or business that requires more complex Web Sites. WebSite Director includes all the features of WebSite Maker, plus allows for extracting database information directly from the source.

These can be extracted in either DBF or various ASCII forms, then transferred to the chosen site in formatted tables up to seven columns wide and unlimited in length.

WebSite Director also provides all the necessary HTML coding for up to 99 different tables and automatically indexes each on a hyperlinked index page. "The complexity of coding required to do this by hand or with any conventional Web editing software, makes it extremely difficult to achieve without using THISoft WebSite Director," Manry said.

In addition to the database feature, WebSite Director allows for construction of a massive indexed picture catalog. The software can extract up to 25,000 digital images in GIF or JPG format directly to any site in a neatly bordered format with captions.

Director also provides macro templates that automatically extract any text, image, sound bite, music and video clip, then adds all required HTML coding and puts them on the Web Site.

Both Maker and Director allow the addition of THISoft ProPack Plug In, a feature that is only available by download from the Company's Web Site and sells for an introductory price of $59.95.

ProPack gives the user the macros and encrypted CGI-Bin script to build unlimited "hit counters" and customizable interactive "order, survey, or other forms" with immediate and free activation.

Additional features of THISoft ProPack are the ability for the more advanced user to "plug in" any favorite Web editor, graphic image editor and FTP (upload) software for "on the fly" custom editing. This effectively makes any HTML editor a tool of THISoft products.
