Alpha Pro Tech Ltd. leading technology respirator mask gets NIOSH approval as effective medical protection

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1996--Alpha Pro Tech Ltd. (OTC:APTD) announced that it has received approval from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, OSHA's testing arm, for its N-95 disposable particulate respirator face mask as effective protection against tuberculosis and other airborne pathogens for the medical, dental and industrial markets - a combined market of over $25 million annually.
The new design incorporates Alpha Pro Tech's Magic Arch, which provides a breathing chamber, and its Positive Facial Lock, which provides a custom fit to face, in the first self-contained respirator system designed for the medical, dental, production and work safety markets. The company expects to do combined sales in the first 12 months of approximately $1 million.
