Lightscape Technologies Broadens Management Team, Adds Three Top Executives; Leading Provider of Visual Reality Software Hires Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Vice President of Research & Product Development

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 1996--Lightscape Technologies, Inc., a leading producer of Visual Reality software, today announced it has expanded its management team, hiring three executives to lead the areas of finance and administration, sales and marketing, and research and product development.
Reporting to Barry Dickman, president and CEO, Clement C. Cooper, 41, joins the innovative startup company as vice president, Finance and Administration and chief financial officer; Jim Dunn joins as vice president of Sales and Marketing; and Stacey E. Soper joins as vice president of Research and Product Development. Each of these executives brings to Lightscape over 20 years of experience in their respective areas of expertise.

With 20 years of experience in financial management Cooper will be responsible for finance, administration, operations and information systems at Lightscape. Before joining Lightscape, Cooper was a consultant with Murdock & Associates, a local financial consulting firm, where he helped client companies with IPOs, budgets and financial controls.
Prior to that, Cooper was CFO of Beta Phase, Inc., a publicly held, high technology connector company. He spent eight years with ROLM/IBM/Siemens in manufacturing finance and financial services management positions, preceded by nine years with the international public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand. Cooper is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, Ireland.
Dunn, 50, will utilize his 22 years of sales and marketing experience in the computer industry at Lightscape to manage world-wide demand generation and sales activities. An eight year veteran from Apple Computer he was most recently responsible for managing the Power Macintosh Brand.
Prior to Apple, Dunn was director of Sales and Marketing for the Graphics Division of Infomax Computers. He pioneered desktop CAD products and channels of distribution at a CAD VAR company he founded in 1980. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University.
Soper, 44, with 20 years experience in 3D computer graphics and modeling software development, joins Lightscape from Intergraph Corporation. At Intergraph he held the positions of manager of development for the AEC division, product director of the Process and Power Product Center, and most recently executive product director in the Advanced Graphics Systems Division guiding the development of next generation applications for the AEC market.
Prior to Intergraph, he was vice president of Research and Development of The Rand Group, where he managed the startup's software development activities which were focused on the modeling and simulation software for the building industry. Soper earned his Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University.
