Strategic Organizational Effectiveness Course Offered by UCSC Extension in Silicon Valley

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 1996--Assisting organizational groups to function more effectively as they work toward a goal is the focus of a new course offered by University of California Extension, Santa Cruz in Silicon Valley this spring quarter.

"Strategic Organizational Effectiveness: Process Consulting" meets Mondays, April 22 and May 6, 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturdays, April 27 and May 11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in UCSC Extension's Santa Clara facility at 3120 De La Cruz Blvd.

This course is designed for managers, trainers, team leaders, and internal and external consultants who are called upon to lead groups through problems, decision making, constructive criticism and resolving interpersonal conflict.

Topics include articulating major phases of team development, identifying specific change interventions and determining appropriate intervention based on the level of emotions.

This course is part of UCSC Extension's Professional Sequence Award in Organizational Assessment, Diagnosis and Effectiveness. Designed for mid-career professionals, this series focuses on the techniques to improve an organization's effectiveness and to apply the skills learned.

UCSC Extension's professional sequence awards are a short series of courses in a specific field of study. A letter of recognition and award is granted upon program completion. Courses can be taken individually or as part of the series.
