Rural/Metro Corp. announces filing for public offering of 1,300,000 shares of common stock

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 1996--Rural/Metro Corp. (Nasdaq:RURL) today announced the filing of a Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed public underwritten offering of 1,300,000 shares of common stock.
The company will offer 1,000,000 shares, while an additional 300,000 shares will be offered on behalf of certain stockholders.
The offering will be underwritten by PaineWebber Inc., William Blair & Co. L.L.C., and A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc.
