E3, LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 1996--Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKLM) will send gamers into orbit this holiday season with its video game release of Space Jam(TM), based on Warner Bros.' forthcoming major motion picture starring the Bugs Bunny and NBA superstar Michael Jordan. Delivering the most high-flying, 3-on-3, slam-dunking action to ever hit the court, Acclaim's Space Jam will be available for the Sega(TM) Saturn(TM), Sony PlayStation(TM) and PC CD-ROM platforms.

Out Of This World Basketball Action

Acclaim's Space Jam takes players onto the court for the most madcap, intergalactic 3-on-3 basketball game of all time which will decide the fate of the Looney Tunes characters. Teaming up with the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, The Tasmanian Devil and NBA legend, Michael Jordan, gamers will need to deliver nothing less than "net," as they take on the evil alien "Monstars," who have armed themselves with the talents of various NBA superstars. Featuring special dunks and defensive moves; multiple, high-action levels; bonus power-ups and rounds; and many other surprises, the Space Jam video game will provide all the non-stop fun of the film and more.

The Space Jam video game will be supported by an aggressive, integrated marketing campaign that includes print advertising in video game, personal computer, youth and sports publications; direct mail and point-of-purchase campaigns; and innovative on-line promotions on Acclaim's web site (http://www.acclaimnation.com), as well as Warner Bros.' website (http://www.spacejam.com). In addition, Acclaim is developing a nationwide promotion with major corporate partners and several other Space Jam licensees to further promote the title.

Acclaim's Space Jam video game will be available in November for the Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation and PC CD-ROM platforms at suggested retail prices of $49.99, $49.99 and $39.99, respectively.
