OPTi Announces Appointment of Director of Marketing for Core Logic; OPTi Executive Promoted From Sales Management

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 1996--OPTi, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPTI) announced today that Don Clegg has been appointed to the position of Director of Marketing -- Core Logic joining the new management team at OPTi.
Clegg (37) reports directly to the general manager of the Core Logic Business Unit. OPTi supplies core logic desktop and notebook, and multimedia chipsets to top PC manufacturers including Acer, Apple, AST, Compaq, Dell, Gateway 2000, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Packard Bell, and Zenith.
"Don brings significant marketing and sales experience to our core logic business unit activities," said Stephen Dukker, OPTi president. "His experience in our market will enable us to capitalize on the new business opportunities that exist today."
Clegg has worked for OPTi in sales management since 1991. Prior to his tenure at OPTi, Clegg held marketing and engineering management positions at Chips and Technologies and North Star Computers.
