Business Wire, May 31, 1996

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 1996--David O'Reilly and Larry O'Reilly were recently featured in the May 1996 issue of Automotive Marketing Magazine as their 1996 Retailer of the Year.

David O'Reilly is president and CEO and Larry O'Reilly is president and COO of O'Reilly Automotive Inc. of Springfield, Mo.

Winners of the award must be actively involved in the automotive after-market and must demonstrate a creative approach to marketing, merchandising, and promoting their businesses, and show a willingness to give of their time and resources to help others in the after-market and in their community.

The award generally goes to an individual but Automotive Marketing made an exception this year at the O'Reillys' request due to the family and team culture which is central to O'Reilly Automotive's success.

He has served as president of the Drury College Alumni Advisory Council and chairman of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
