PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 1996-- Hewlett-Packard Company today announced HP OpenView OmniBack II for the Windows(R) NT operating system, an enterprise-level backup and restore solution. OmniBack II brings mainframe-class data- and media-management capabilities to Windows NT systems.
OmniBack II provides reliable data protection and easy data management from one central location or from distributed management stations across an enterprise. OmniBack II for the Windows NT operating system is designed for use in homogeneous Windows NT networks and mixed Windows NT, NetWare and UNIX(R) system environments.
HP OpenView OmniBack II for the Windows NT operating system provides customers with seamless integration with Microsoft(R) BackOffice, performing on-line backup for MS SQL Server and MS Exchange Server data. In addition, OmniBack II offers on-line backup for SAP R/3 data. This integration provides unsurpassed data security and enables OmniBack II customers to operate MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server and SAP R/3 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Backup of Windows NT Registries and other Windows NT objects ensures fast and easy system recovery. Reporting based on the World Wide Web enables administrators to check the completion of backup jobs from any Web browser.

HP OpenView OmniBack II for the Windows NT operating system is the first high-performance backup and restore product to offer a consistent solution for homogeneous Windows NT networks and heterogeneous Windows NT, Netware and UNIX system environments.
U.S. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
HP OpenView OmniBack II for the Windows NT operating system is expected to be available in December with an entry price of $3,800.
