HP Expands Internet Portfolio for Organizations Both Large and Small; New Microsoft Windows NT- and UNIX-based Solutions Include HP Domain for Enterprises and New Offerings for Small and Medium Businesses

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 1996-- Hewlett-Packard Company today announced a range of new products; a multiplatform Internet partner program; new, innovative channel programs; plus a full range of professional consulting and support offerings, reinforcing the company's growing leadership in Internet and intranet computing. Spanning Microsoft(R) Windows(R) NT and HP-UX(1) operating environments, the HP Domain solutions and new Internet offerings help large and small organizations get control of their business on the Net. -0-

The new Internet offerings include the following:

HP unveiled its HP Domain Enterprise Server family and the first business-ready, pre-integrated Internet- and intranet-server package. Designed to effectively integrate customers' intranet environments with the Internet, the HP-UX-based HP Domain servers run on HP's 64-bit PA-8000 RISC(2) technology -- providing customers with a powerful, versatile and manageable platform for controlling and building mission- critical applications on the Net.

The HP Domain Enterprise Servers are preconfigured with the HP Domain Business Suite, which combines industry-leading Internet software from Netscape with HP industry-leading management and messaging solutions that extend the capabilities of the Internet for information access, collaboration and core business transactions.
