Paragon Advanced Technology and Sprint Announce Agreement for Product Testing

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1996-- Paragon Advanced Technology announced the signing of an agreement with Sprint's local-service company to establish a technical trial of Paragon's Advanced Services Platform (ASP-150) beginning in January 1997. The ASP-150 is a powerful, interactive client-server information management system that allows telephone companies to offer enhanced operator services to their subscribers.

Sprint will evaluate the system for deployment in its Rocky Mount, N.C., Operator Service Center, which serves subscribers in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Applications tested during the technical and marketing trial include: local directory assistance using 411, corporate directory assistance for large private companies, national directory assistance without having to know the area code and operator reference data base.
