Citrix Ranks No. 53 Among Nation's Fastest Growing Technology Companies; Company Ranks No. 6 in State of Florida

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 1996--Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) has been named the 53rd fastest growing U.S. technology company in the National Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the nation's top 500 technology companies by Tech News, Inc., a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company. Citrix today also announced its position as the 6th fastest growing technology company in Florida, as ranked by Enterprise Florida and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Citrix is a leader in multi-user Windows application server software that extends the reach of business-critical Windows applications to remote users over enterprise networks, corporate Intranets or the Internet.
The National Technology Fast 500 is comprised of quick-growth U.S. companies that develop and/or provide technology-based products or services. The criteria for ranking the 1996 National Technology Fast 500 is based on the percentage of corporate revenue growth over the five-year period between 1991 and 1995. Data for the Fast 500 was collected from a variety of public and private sources, including revenue reports obtained from Media General Information Service, as well as publicly available filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citrix reported record revenues for the first nine months of 1996. Net revenues for the period were $29.0 million, up 207 percent from $9.4 million for the comparable nine months of 1995. Net income for the first nine months of 1996 was $11.8 million, or 44 cents per share, compared to $466,000, or 2 cents per share for the first nine months of 1995.

The company's flagship product line, WinFrame, enables the high-performance, enterprise-wide deployment of Windows applications without regard to location or type of client hardware platform.
