ACT Teleconferencing announces management changes

GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1996--ACT Teleconferencing, Inc. (Nasdaq-ACTT, ACTTW), the only worldwide provider of products and services for all three teleconferencing segments -- audio, data and video -- today announced two unrelated management changes.
Robin Verwerda was named managing director of ACT Teleconferencing, B.V., an Amsterdam and Brussels based, wholly owned subsidiary of ACT. Previously, Verwerda held sales and marketing positions with Siemens, Philips and Telecom Italia, after receiving his engineering degree from the Rijswik Institute of Technology in The Netherlands.
"We are delighted to add Robin to our management team," said Gerald D. Van Eeckhout, Chairman of ACT. "His sales and marketing expertise will be a tremendous asset for our company."
Verwerda replaces Susan Ambrose who has returned to the United States to resume her marketing responsibilities with ACT Teleconferencing Services, Inc., ACT's wholly owned U.S. operating subsidiary.
The Company also announced that Harry R. Walls, president of ACT Teleconferencing Services, Inc., is leaving the Company to pursue interests outside the teleconferencing field.
