Diba Expands Board of Directors; President of Ceridian Employer Services Brings General Management and Software Marketing Expertise to Information Appliance Pioneer

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 1996--Diba, Inc. today announced that Kathleen M. Mitchell, president of Ceridian Employer Services, has joined Diba's board of directors.
"In addition to her executive skills, Ms. Mitchell is one of the most experienced marketing executives in Silicon Valley," said Farid Dibachi, chairman of Diba. "Her expertise in launching new software products will be critical as we continue to build the Information Appliance category."

Mitchell brings to Diba a long and successful history of marketing high technology products. Mitchell is president of Ceridian Employer Services, a human resources and services company which is a subsidiary of Ceridian Corporation (NYSE:CEN), an information services and defense electronics company. Ceridian Employer Services handles 30,000 customers, including 30 percent of the Fortune 100. Mitchell originally joined the Ceridian Corporation in January 1995 as president and CEO of Ceridian's TesserAct Technology subsidiary.
Prior to joining TesserAct, Mitchell spent two and a half years at Oracle Corporation, first as vice president of corporate marketing, and subsequently as vice president of marketing for the Americas which included the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Before Oracle, Mitchell spent three years as vice president of marketing at Metaphor Computer Systems, a $50 million decision support software and services company which was acquired by IBM in 1991. Mitchell began her career at IBM where she spent 14 years in a variety of sales and marketing positions including branch manager, assistant to the IBM chairman, and industry director.
