Scb Computer Technology Named To Forbes 200 Best Small Companies In America List

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1996--SCB Computer Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:NM/SCBI) today announced that it has been ranked 131st in the annual listing by Forbes of the 200 Best Small Companies in America. This is the first year in which SCB has been eligible to be included in the listing which has been published since 1979. The selections are based on each company's profitability over a five-year period measured by return on equity and require a five year sales growth of at least 15% and earnings per share growth of at least 9%. For the five-year period considered, SCB's return on equity was 18.7%, sales growth was 24% and earnings per share growth was 50%.
SCB Computer Technology is a rapidly growing provider of information technology (IT) management and technical services. Its services are divided into: (1) consulting services, including advising clients on acquiring and utilizing IT systems, planning and designing new IT systems, and redesigning existing IT systems; (2) outsourcing, including IT professionals, support and maintenance, and programing software development data center management; and (3) professional staffing services, including providing skilled technical employees on an as-needed basis. The Company's primary customers are state and local governments, public utilities, Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations.
